Paid Membership/Verification
To become a verified or paid member at Policewives.org, we must first verify that your spouse or significant other is currently employed in a law enforcement position. We do this for the privacy, safety, and security of our members and their families.
It's a simple process that involves a phone call to your LEO’s department to confirm employment, and sometimes a phone call to you and/or your LEO - thus ensuring protection against media, anti-police, or other threats that can infiltrate a private site such as ours and wreak havoc in our personal lives. We strive to keep a very close site where police wives can seek help, friendship and advice without repercussions from the outside. All the information that we use is kept private and only used for Law Enforcement status verification.
The information that we require is: your name, your spouse’s name, your phone number, department name, and phone number at his department where we can reach human resources, personnel, or someone else who can officially verify employment status, an e-mailed copy of your spouse’s employee ID, your and your spouse’s drivers licenses. We require that the addresses on the driver’s licenses match each other. If this is not the case, please contact a moderator regarding other ways to achieve verification. If you are unable to scan and e-mail the IDs, we can provide you with a mailing address.
This information is confidential, and nothing will be revealed to the site members, other than your first name and residential city. Your other personal information, such as address, phone number, spouse’s name and department will all be kept confidential, only revealed by yourself if you so choose.
After you submit the application, you will email copies of your IDs to j0eswife@policewives.org or snail mail to the address provided to you. Once we receive your application and ID’s, please allow 7 – 10 days for the verification process. Once verified, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing the Member Privacy Policy. Please complete and sign it, returning it via email or snail mail. Once your verification is complete and payment (if applicable) is received, you'll be approved for membership.
We currently offer the following options for Paid Memberships -
Bronze level - $15 per year donation
Benefits include access to member only forums on policewives.org website, including book club, as well as entrance into member-only raffles and games.
Bronze level members also qualify for special policewives.org group rates at a variety of national companies.
At each yearly renewal - 1 sheet of personalized policewives.org return address labels
Silver level - $35 for first year, then $25 for renewals
